Dr. Brown trained as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, handling cases that range from routine wisdom-tooth extractions to facial reconstruction after major trauma. That work made one thing obvious: most of what he was repairing began with something preventable, and most people had never been taught to brush properly in the first place.

Before Feno, he built the business strategy behind two medical devices that were later sold, and established several sustainable community clinics in South Los Angeles to widen access to care. He joined Share Ventures as an entrepreneur-in-residence and co-founded Feno there with Hamet Watt in 2024, closing a $6 million seed round the same year.

At Feno he leads a team of engineers, designers and dentists building the Feno Smartbrush: 18,000 nylon bristles that clean every tooth surface at once in 20 seconds, a built-in scanner that uses computer vision to read teeth, gums, tongue and soft tissue, and an app that turns those scans into tracked oral-health insights. He also sets the evidence bar for Feno's oral-health content, vetting claims about the oral-systemic link so what people read is what the science actually supports.
